Polylactic Acid (PLA) Filament - Enhanced Reading Experience

Polylactic Acid (PLA) is a greener alternative to ABS, created by processing various plant-based products. Unlike ABS, which emits the pungent odor of hot plastic during printing, PLA gives off a pleasant semi-sweet scent when heated. This attribute is generally preferred by users.

Compared to ABS, PLA is stronger and more rigid, resulting in sharper details and corners in 3D printed parts. The finished prints also have a more glossy appearance and can be sanded and machined. Furthermore, PLA is less prone to warping, eliminating the need for a heated build platform, which many users find convenient, as they can often opt for the simpler and more economical blue painters tape instead of the more expensive kapton tape.

Additionally, PLA can be printed at higher speeds, improving throughput. However, users must take care to store PLA filament in a cool, dry environment, as exposure to moisture can cause bubbling during high-temperature printing due to PLA's reactivity with water.

Our PLA filament is available in a variety of opaque colors, including blue, red, orange, and green, each spooled at 1 kg. The filament diameter is 1.75 mm, with a tolerance of +/- 0.03 mm, making it compatible with a wide range of 3D printers, such as the Creality Ender 3, Anycubic, Prusa, Flashforge, and Monoprice, among others.

Each 1 kg spool contains 200 grams of PLA filament, with a spool diameter of 6", a width of 1.5", and a hub diameter of 2.25". The filament is vacuum-sealed with desiccant to maintain optimal quality.
